The new Amazfit Active 2 smartwatch promises to take a leap forward in quality: incorporating a state-of-the-art optical sensor, debuting the Zepp OS 4.5 operating system and expanding the possibilities for sports monitoring and analysis.

It has more than 160 sports monitoring profiles, an attractive and comfortable design and internal technology normally reserved for high-end models. This list includes an SpO2 sensor, body temperature sensor, GPS and altimeter. You also have support for offline maps, on-wrist calls, NFC payments and an AI voice assistant.

This latest version improves the features and functions compared to the Amazfit Active, which also highlights the focus on a sportier design, without sacrificing the elegance that characterizes it, which incorporates Artificial Intelligence assistance, as it uses Zepp Flow technology, with which you can control the watch and send messages by voice to text or via the keyboard.

The watch has a standard version (in stainless steel) and a premium version that incorporates a sapphire crystal that covers the screen and provides extra protection and lightness, thus avoiding the dreaded shocks against the screen.

When it comes to sports, the device has more than 160 training modes with which we can monitor and parameterize the most important data of our sports activities, and allows us to control the most important parameters for our health, such as training, rest, control of each heartbeat with greater heart rate accuracy and sleep monitoring.

It is worth highlighting the availability of silicone sports straps for their softness, lightness and pleasant sensation against the skin. These silicone straps facilitate the skin’s breathing and do not retain moisture during our most intense workouts.

Sports modes: over 160 options and two HYROX modes

One of Amazfit’s strengths has always been the variety of sports modes. In the Amazfit Active 2, we find over 160, covering endurance disciplines, technical exercises and strength training. Highlighting the following aspects:

  • HYROX PFT (Physical Fitness Test): Allows you to assess your fitness level according to the official HYROX program, monitoring basic exercises and their execution order.
  • Advanced running training: It’s not just about recording time, distance and heart rate. The watch also focuses on evaluating running technique, cadence and movement stability.
  • Strength training: The device recognizes up to 25 different exercises for different muscle groups, evaluating aspects such as continuity, rhythm and stability of movements. All information is synchronized with the Zepp app, where you can see which muscles were worked the most, as well as the intensity of the stimulus.
  • Support for paddle tennis: If you’re a fan of this sport, the Active 2 monitors the number of forehand or backhand hits, something unusual in most sports watches.
  • Support for paddle tennis: If you’re a fan of this sport, the Active 2 monitors the number of forehand or backhand hits, something unusual in most sports watches. • Special HYROX modes: HYROX is a fast-growing sport that combines racing with functional exercises. Amazfit, as an official partner of HYROX, has integrated two specific modes:
  • HYROX Race: Records all disciplines in the actual order of a competition. Useful for those who are preparing for HYROX events and want to analyze each segment separately.
  • HYROX PFT (Physical Fitness Test): Allows you to assess your fitness level according to the official HYROX program, monitoring basic exercises and their execution order.

Train smarter with personalized AI-generated training plans that intelligently adjust based on your performance and recovery.

Choose from regular training plans that can be applied to most training modes or specialized running plans for 3K, 5K, 10K, half or full marathons.

Alerts for abnormal heart rate, low blood oxygen levels and high stress can be customized via the app. Environmental, physical and movement factors may affect data accuracy and response time. Manual one-touch health measurements also rely on proper positioning and minimal movement during use.
Durability and Water Resistance
The device complies with ISO standard 22810:2010, rated for water resistance up to 50 meters (5 ATM). It is suitable for use while swimming, snow exposure or showering, but not for hot showers or sauna sessions, which may degrade the seal and water resistance over time. For swimming, it is recommended to use compatible silicone straps instead of leather or metal straps.

Offline Maps

The Amazfit Active 2’s offline maps are a handy feature, providing reliable navigation right from your wrist, without the need for a smartphone. The high-quality display ensures maps are clear and easy to read, even at a glance.

Download a map and route from the Zepp app for turn-by-turn directions as you move. If you need to keep your eyes focused on the route, the watch can read your instructions aloud through the speaker or connected Bluetooth headphones.

The Amazfit Active 2 comes equipped with a solid lineup of hardware designed to meet a wide range of health and activity tracking needs. The highlight is the BioTracker PPG 6.0 sensor, the first Zepp Health watch with a sensor in this version. This setup aims to capture detailed health metrics, such as heart rate and blood oxygen levels. The watch also includes a barometric altimeter to track changes in altitude and a geomagnetic sensor to aid in navigation. An ambient light sensor is part of the display, allowing automatic screen brightness adjustments based on ambient lighting conditions.

Battery life

Another positive point. With normal use, the watch lasts up to 10 days on a single charge. Charging it once a week for about half an hour is probably enough to keep it running indefinitely. Even with more frequent use of GPS or health tracking features, the battery life remains stable. It’s comforting to have a watch that doesn’t require constant recharging.

The watch also offers a battery-saving mode, which can extend battery life to up to 19 days. This mode reduces some of the most power-hungry features while keeping the essentials running. For those who use GPS frequently, the watch promises up to 21 hours of continuous tracking.
